Return to Adult Instruction

Course fee is $100 if paid in advance, $125 if paid the day of class.

Mt Vernon/Excel Driving Schools agrees to provide 8 hours of Adult Remedial instruction that meets all Ohio requirements including ORC 4510.037

A certificate of completion will be issued to all students that successfully complete all course requirements (including attendance of all eight hours, participation and attainment of at least 75% on the final examination. Replacement certificates of completion will be provided at an additional cost of $5.

Mt Vernon/Excel Driving Schools will not share any personal or financial information regarding any person participating in this course. Unless such information is required by a governmental agency to complete course requirements.

A student must correctly answer seventy-five percent (75%) of the final examination questions. If a student does not correctly answer seventy-five percent of the final examination questions, the student shall have the opportunity to retake the final examination one additional time. If the student fails to score at least seventy-five percent after taking the examination the second time, the student shall be required to retake the course.

If a student has a grievance, the complaint must be brought to the attention of the instructor in a respectful manner. The student and instructor will then attempt to settle the complaint. If the complaint is still not resolved , the owner, instructor and student will attempt to settle the complaint. Should the two parties not be able to reach an agreement that is acceptable to both parties, the matter can be referred to the Department of Public Safety through the Ohio Traffic Safety Office, 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223.

Class will begin promptly at 8 AM and will conclude promptly at 5 PM. We will be taking a 10 minute break in the morning, 30 minutes at lunch and two 10 minute breaks in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided (we will likely order from Dominos). If you are late you will not be permitted to stay (arrive early). Registration for the next scheduled class will be necessary.

Dress appropriately (no inappropriate tops or short shorts). Comfortable/casual dress if appropriate.

Participants are expected to use appropriate language.

A participant may be dismissed from the program due to inappropriate behavior or attitude or for not participating.

Participants that drive to the school illegally (without a valid driver’s license or are suspected to be under the influence of a chemical substance) will be dismissed.

Photo identification will be required. No refunds will be given.
